An online fertility review to help you understand the wider picture and decide what to do next.
Why you might book a review
By the time people come to me, they often already have a considerable amount of information.You may have blood results, scans, fertility investigations, semen analyses, embryology reports or previous IVF treatment to make sense of. You may have been given several different recommendations, or you may simply be wondering whether there is anything else worth considering before deciding what to do next.
The Comprehensive Fertility Review gives us time to bring that information together and look at your fertility picture as a whole.
What does the review involve?
Before we meet, I will ask you to send me relevant results, reports and information about your fertility and medical history so that I can review them in advance.
What we look at will depend entirely on your individual situation, but may include:

your reproductive and pregnancy history

menstrual cycles and ovulation

fertility blood tests and other relevant blood results
-
ovarian reserve and hormonal health
-
scans and other investigations
-
previous IVF, ICSI, IUI or other fertility treatment
-
embryology information and previous treatment outcomes

semen analysis and male fertility investigations
-
medical conditions
-
medication and general health
-
any other investigations or information that may be important to your fertility picture.
If you are trying to conceive as a couple, I will consider both partners' fertility and health information,
rather than looking at one side of the picture in isolation.
During your online consultation
We will go through what I have found and put the different pieces of information into context.
Part of this is understanding what has already been investigated rather than automatically looking for more things to test.
Where there is a reason to look further, we can also consider whether there are areas that may be worth discussing with your fertility clinic, GP or an appropriate specialist.
The aim isn't to investigate everything. It's to understand what you already know, what may be relevant, what may deserve further attention.
Who might find a Fertility Review useful?
A review may be particularly helpful if:

You do not need to be having acupuncture with me, and booking a Fertility Review does not commit you to ongoing treatment.
What you'll receive
Following the consultation, I will send you a written summary bringing together the main points we discussed.
This may include areas that appear most relevant to your fertility picture, questions that may be useful to raise with your fertility clinic or medical team, and any areas where I think further investigation or specialist input may be worth considering.
The purpose is for you to leave with a clearer understanding of where things stand and what deserves your attention next, rather than simply another collection of information.

Where something requires assessment or treatment outside my scope, I will recommend that you discuss it with the appropriate healthcare professional.
